FAQs

What is a Clinical Nutritionist?

A Registered Clinical Nutritionist is a degree-qualified practitioner with extensive clinical training. When you're on the hunt for a Nutritionist, it’s smart to choose one who's got the right qualifications and is registered with a professional body – this means they’re sticking to the highest standards and ethical guidelines. Clinical Nutritionists are well-versed in all the sciencey stuff like biochemistry, physiology, clinical nutrition, and pathology – giving us the knowledge to really get to the bottom of what’s going on in your body and what might be affecting your health and most importantly, how to improve it!

Can I use my private health insurance?

Some Australian private health funds may cover nutritional consultations, but you'll need to check with your provider to confirm.

We don’t use HICAPS, so we kindly ask for full payment at the time of your appointment.

Afterwards, we’ll provide you with a receipt, which you can submit to your health fund for potential reimbursement. Easy as that!

How many appointments will I need?

How many appointments you’ll need really depends on what’s going on for you and how complicated things are. If you’ve got a chronic condition, you might need a bit more TLC and regular check-ins to keep things on track. Don’t worry though – we’ll chat through a personalised plan at your first visit so we can figure out what works best for you.

Do you offer functional testing?

Yes, we offer functional testing, and is the basis of how we design your treatment plan. Rather than taking a "trial and error" approach, testing gives us clear, actionable insights that help us pinpoint exactly what’s going on. While it may seem costly at first, it often saves you money in the long run by cutting down on unnecessary steps. It’s like trying to fix a car engine – you could start replacing random parts, or you could plug it into a diagnostic tool to find the issue straight away and fix it right the first time.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We do have a cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us a heads-up at least 24 hours in advance. This helps us free up space for others who are on our waitlist. Not providing 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
